National mergers and acquisitions firm now operating in Spokane

Generational Equity LLC, a national mergers-and-acquisitions firm, has recently established an office in downtown Spokane. Located on the 14th floor of the Washington Trust Bank Tower East, at 601 W. First, the Texas-based company operates under the name Generational Group. The Spokane office officially opened its doors in April, headed by the managing director, Paul Hajek. Hajek expressed that choosing Spokane as a location was a strategic decision to cater to the Inland Northwest market, as the firm already has an office in Seattle.

Generational Group, with over 300 professionals spread across 16 offices in North America, including one in Vancouver, British Columbia, specializes in providing comprehensive M&A advisory services. The firm boasts an impressive track record of over 1,700 completed transactions, ranging from $25 million to $500 million in value. Offering a wide array of services such as strategic growth consulting, exit planning education, business valuation, value enhancement strategies, M&A advisory, digital solutions, and wealth management, Generational Equity LLC caters to a diverse range of client needs.

Paul Hajek noted that the firm primarily concentrates on facilitating the sale of businesses owned by individuals from the baby boomer generation seeking to exit. These business owners, having nurtured their companies to varying sizes, often look to transition ownership. If their children are not inclined to take over the business, these owners typically seek to sell to third-party entities. Hajek, who transitioned from being an affiliate to a full-time employee at Generational, currently operates as the sole employee in the Spokane office. Despite being the sole employee, Hajek collaborates remotely with colleagues across the nation and envisions expanding the team as the office grows.

With a keen focus on serving the baby boomer demographic and assisting with business transitions, the Spokane office of Generational Equity LLC looks forward to future expansion and potential opportunities. While the office currently consists of only one team member, Hajek remains optimistic about the office’s growth trajectory and the value it will bring to the local business community. Adhering to the firm’s mission and expertise in facilitating mergers and acquisitions, the newly established Spokane office aims to make substantial contributions to the regional economy.
