Nvidia CEO receives first pay raise in 10 years

Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang has recently received a substantial pay increase for the first time in a decade. Despite leading the company since its inception in 1993, Huang had been earning a consistent salary until the recent announcement of a significant raise. According to a recent SEC filing, Huang’s salary increased by 49% in fiscal 2025, totaling $1,486,199, compared to $996,514 in 2024 and $996,832 in 2023.

In addition to his salary increase, Huang’s total compensation package saw a substantial rise due to stock awards, reaching $49,866,251 by the end of the year, with $38.8 million in stock awards for 2025. This significant increase in compensation reflects the company’s success under Huang’s leadership.

While Huang saw a substantial increase in his compensation, other executives at Nvidia experienced stable salaries but much higher overall compensation packages. CFO Colette M Kress, Worldwide Field Operations SVP Ajay K Puri, Operations EVP Debora Shoquist, and General Counsel and Secretary EVP Timothy S Teter maintained consistent salaries, but their total compensation rose by 59-74%. This indicates an overall positive trend in compensation for Nvidia’s leadership team.

Aside from the executives’ compensation, Nvidia has seen remarkable growth in revenue, with a 114% increase in full-year revenue in 2025 compared to the previous year. The company reported a 78% year-over-year increase in fourth-quarter revenue alone, highlighting Nvidia’s strong financial performance. The annual revenue stood at $130.5 billion in 2025, a significant increase from previous years.

In early 2024, Nvidia briefly held the title of the world’s most valuable company with a total market cap exceeding $3.5 trillion. However, due to trade war-induced uncertainty and natural causes, the company’s market cap has since decreased to $2.723 trillion. Despite these challenges, Nvidia continues to innovate and thrive in the tech industry.

Overall, Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang’s salary increase, along with the company’s robust financial performance and market capitalization, demonstrates the company’s resilience and success under his leadership. As Nvidia continues to evolve and grow, it remains at the forefront of technological innovation and financial success in the industry.
