Sol de Janeiro has recently made significant additions to its executive team, bringing Laurie Lovett on board as the chief people and impact officer, along with Elaine Paik as the chief financial officer. Lovett, whose previous roles include global chief people officer at Nielsen and global human resources officer at Verisk, brings over two decades of experience from her time at Accenture, where she played a pivotal role in shaping organizational culture.
In her new position, Lovett will spearhead human resources, social impact, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives with a strong emphasis on developing a robust talent strategy, fostering inclusive leadership, and implementing programs that resonate with the brand’s global identity. Paik, who joins the team from Impossible Foods with prior experience at Juul Labs and Colgate-Palmolive, will leverage her 25 years of expertise in finance and strategy to enhance Sol de Janeiro’s operational foundation as it ventures into new markets, product categories, and distribution channels.
Both Lovett and Paik will report directly to Heela Yang, the founder and CEO of Sol de Janeiro, who expressed confidence in their ability to drive the company’s growth while staying true to its values.
